Spellchecker

At Christmas, courtesy of NanNan's deluxe crackers, I got to play glamorous assistant to Dom's magician. All the magic lay in how Dom uttered 'Abracadabra!', I was merely there to supply some minor prestidigitation.

The joy of this is in the tiny shrug of Dom's shoulders, the sparkle in his eye and how quickly his attention moves on to one of the other cracker gifts.

Nothing if not ambitious

Walking into town through the subway, Dom was fascinated by the busker making a decent fist of Stealers Wheel.'Wow, he had a fantastic band, didn't he?' I explained it was just one man and his guitar, and did he perhaps know anyone else with a guitar. 'Hey, I have a guitar [a fantastic present from his NanNan]. Maybe, when you're older and I'm grown up, you and Mummy will be walking through he subway and I'll be there playing my guitar'. Maybe.

Motocrossed wires

A planned trip last Autumn to see Nan and Bampi, Dom and Tillys' great grandparents, in Weston-super-Mud had to be postponed due to Bampi being ill. As sad as we were to miss being able to go down, the silver lining was that we avoided the traffic chaos brought about by the 25th Weston Beach Race that weekend.

Speaking to Nan just before Christmas it turned out that she'd kept some cuttings from the local newspaper of the airborne quadbikes and somersaulting trials bikes to show Dom.

She posted them up this week and Dom was suitably impressed

Which one's Nan?
